Water Issues

While the water systems in Canada are pretty reliable, they're not perfect. Incidents of contamination do occur.  Contaminated H2O poses a serious health risk to you and your family. Even if your area really is safe, this doesn't guarantee that there are no problems in your particular home. For example, there are many things that can lead to issues, such as; lead or galvanized piping in old homes, lead-based solder used on copper pipes or in faucets in new homes, just to name a few. Contaminated H2O poses serious health risks not just to your family, but also to your pets and plants.

Most of the time your H2O is safe to drink, but there are elements that  may do more harm then good, they may change the taste and may even change the colour.

These are the issues we will investigate in this section.

The Water Cycle

This diagram shows where the water travels. Right from sky to ground then back to the sky again. It also shows the different elements it can pick up on the way. H2O is considered the universal solvent, because it picks up a bit of everything it comes into contact with. If you want to know more about this cycle you can click on the picture below.
